How I Got That Shot

In this section I offer the viewer a glimspe into the thought processes and decision making that I go through in creating an image. As mentioned in the quote from Ansel Adams, you don't simply point a camera at a subject, press the shutter button, and end up with a beautiful image. There is much that goes on in the mind of the photographer before the shutter is opened. For each picture, I provide some background details to put the image in context, then I walk through all of the decisions I made to create the final image. Not only do I describe the decision, but also explain why I made the decisison that I did. The intent of this exercise, then, is to help give insight into this process and to hopefully help the viewer develop this process in their mind as well.
