Isaac M. Wise Temple

The Isaac M. Wise Temple, formerly known as the Plum Street Temple, is the historical synagogue erected for Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise and his Jewish congregation in downtown Cincinnati. The synagogue was dedicated in 1866 by the K. K. B'nai Yeshurun congregation of German Jewish immigrants, making it one of the oldest synagogue buildings still standing in the US. The synagogue and its congregation became a cornerstone of American Reform Judaism. The building was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1975 for its architecture and its role in the Reform movement. The building was designed in teh American Exotic Revival architectural style.
